For Paul and Marilyn Hopkins, it was a piece of accidental trivia and symmetry as the first award went to Rams Daisy & Magics Mona Lisa – a direct descendant of the Wise Acres line that the couple nurtured from 1974-1986. "We focused our breeding on longevity along with production and good type – so it was a moment of personal satisfaction to see Mona Lisa take Best of Breed and Best in Show – as the oldest doe entered at Fryeburg Fair in 2008," Paul said. |
