Denny Breau performs on the main stage Fryeburg Fair supports and promotes live music and entertainment of all types. We present more free entertainment than any other agricultural fair in the world. We're pround to offer the most talented performers in Maine. Five stages are in use daily throughout fair week with variety and style that guarantee something for everyone. We have an Official Entertainment Brochure that's available at both information booths at the front and back gates as well as on our web site. Weather may affect schedules. The Parks

Water Wheel Park

Located by the Front Gate, Water Wheel Park offers entertainment at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. with special events earlier or later. Entertainment includes duos, trios, quartets and musicians of all types.

 

Christmas Tree Park

Located next to the Pulling Pavilion, Christmas Tree Park was expanded in 1993 to include more benches for the ever growing crowds. A covered stage was added in 1997 to protect entertainers on wet days.

Hayseed Theater

Located next to Old MacDonald's Farm, Hayseed Theater is the perfect place to take youngsters of all ages. The entertainers have been selected for their appeal to children as well as parents their including puppet shows, Storytellers, magicians, and clowns.

Draft Horse Park

After more than three decades of performing, "The Fryeburg Fair Boys" continue to entertain fairgoers. Blind musicians Oliver Nicholas and Norm DeCoteau were crowd favorites for many years. Oliver has retired but replaced by lifelong friend Ray Fournier.

Gazebo

New in 1998, the Gazebo is located on the west end of the racetrack. You'll find barbershop quartets, bluegrass bands and even a German marching band waiting to greet fair goers as they enter from the parking lot from the orange and green gates.

Strolling Entertainers

You never know what awaits around the next corner at the Fryeburg Fair. The Hurdy Gurdy man with his monkey and miniature antique auto and the Blue Hill Brass Quintet are among the many acts that can be found strolling the grounds over the fair's eight days.
