4-H Department Mission Statement

The purpose of the 4-H department at Fryeburg Fair is to promote, support and educate the youth of Maine and New Hampshire in the various fields of agriculture as well as all the recognized programs of the National 4-H Council.  The future of the Fryeburg Fair is developed and secured through its youth, which is defined through the 4-H department.

The Fryeburg Fair 4-H Department serves as the youth division of the fair’s Livestock Department. The 4-H Department boasts its own building on the fairgrounds for its livestock and an additional area for 4-H clubs to display non-livestock projects. The 4-H Department has a staff of 15 and prides itself in annually showing more than 500 animals during the course of the fair.
